I got in a bit of a pissing match this evening as a bunch of riceboy (their term, not mine) racers were trying to play with each other and I was "in their way". One was behind me trying to squeeze past me in my lane, one ahead of me., one on my left--I was boxed in and the doofus in front of me was so slow I was actually gaining on him as we pulled away from a light.
Well, shit. I was doing 45 in a 45, just motoring home after an evening ride through the countryside with some good Zen going, but they were really killing the buzz with their crappy neon-lit cars. Screw it--I'm supposed to open it up from time to time during break-in. I wound past my usual shift point in 3rd...wwwwaaaaay past it, and dropped it into 4th right about the time it hit the pipe. Weeeeeeee!!!!! Then snaked between the front bumper of the guy on my left and the guy in front of me with about one thickness of Stella paint to spare (and that's thin) and kept accelerating...65...70...weeeeeeee!....leaving their tomato-canned exhaust accords and DelSol behind.  One of them chased me but I took a 90 degree right at WFO off the main road and zipped through a shortcut I knew. I saw the car nosedive and bobble to the right to try to follow, then straighten as he overshot.   The horror...your ass has just been whipped by 177cc's of outdated technology and tires that belong on a shopping cart.
