I rode to Death Valley, CA and out to Newfoundland
nearly 9,000 miles on a Dakar. Takes more diligence and guile than taking a big bike with unending power, that's for sure. But I don't blame the bike, I knew what I was riding. And all the dirt of Death Valley and the 1000 miles of gravel in Quebec/Newfoundland was more than worth it.
Yeah, what he said. I would never blame the bike for a crash unless it had some sort of sudden mechanical failure. I happen to love the little GS thumper. My wife has one as well and having the same bike makes repairs and maintenance simple. The purpose of the post was to compliment Aerostich on making some good protective gear and to show how the Pelican cases protected my legs and bike, not to mention great customer service. Hopefully the post might even help someone rethink riding around in jeans and a tee shirt.
