Anyone interested in a digital heater gear/grip controller?

Just as the title says, is anyone interested in a digital heater gear/grip controllers? According to my handy-dandy little spread sheet I can make and ship them for about 1/2 of the cost ($20.00-$25.00) of the other ones on the market.

  • They would of course be digital so the adjustment is from 1%-100%
  • LED indicator to let you know the intensity (the brighter the light=the higher its turned up)
  • The electronics would be potted, so they will be extremely vibration resistant and water proof.
  • Small plastic case that is sealed against the elements.
  • Generous wire leads to make hooking it up easier

I wouldn't include mounting hardware since every one would mount them differently and it would help keep the cost down.

Wadda ya think?

Two thumbs up. Let me know if you move forward with the project. Figure it would work with tourmaster synergy heated gear?

It should, you would just have to splice in a connector to hook it all up.

The cases I used before were 3x2x1

I just ordered the stuff to make a few more, when the slow boat from China gets here I'll put them together. I'll let ya know when I get them done and see where it goes. :-)

I have two of them waiting to go to new homes.

25.00 shipped to your door by USPS
  • Handles 96 watts / 8 amps of load from heated gear and grips
  • Allows the rider to regulate the amount of heat emitted from gear
  • Has bright LED to show heat setting
  • Unlike conventional controllers, this system will only draw full power when turned all the way up
  • All electronics are sealed against driving rain, dust, and dirt to ensure reliability and longevity
  • This is a universal fit item, no mounting gear, wiring hardware, or instructions are included ( its very easy to install )
  • Small size: 3"x 2"x 1

Certainly; once the big brown truck shows up I'll have the supplies needed to make a few more.
