Well, the mobile AAA drive down known roads. If they sat at the edge of a dense tree line they could chew you up. Also, if they removed the highlighted Name Tags so you have to ID stuff on your own or at least once you get up close instead of 3 miles out it would make it a lot more difficult and level the playing field. Though with teams flying random planes, it might not be possible.

If you guys noticed in the video that showed the Stuka dive bombing.....enemy tanks didn't highlight, only friendlies. Proper use of camo and cover should level the playing field a little.

Jingles' video about the reserve level Brit planes was enlightening about those planes in AB.

I'm finding I like the cockpit view and the ability to use both hands for panning and flight control. It's going to be a lot of unlearning. I found a few small tweaks to the Joystick that have helped a lot in AB though. By turning off instructor and upping the responsiveness of the elevator and turning it down for the rudder. Not so much notchy aim any more.

Using the mouse seems so.. darkside.

I flew a few hours in SDoE last night, I forgot I could do modifications to aircraft with Open Plane Studio, so I made the M16 halftrack MG-AA with one .50 cal Browning into a triple gun, holy shit, what a can opener that gun array is!

It is the darkside, but its far more enjoyable ( easy mode ) with mouse.
What stick/throttle/pedal set up are you using? And what are the specific
changes you've made?

hitting Ground targets with stick was fairly hard in AB, with mouse its point-click.

I wonder how ground Bluefor will be able to request for air support. There's going to have to be preset command and somehow a way to mark the enemy position. I can see it getting really frustrated if one side is all air and the other is all ground. Although if more people use comms then it could get very interesting. Force people to play as a team. I still wonder what's going to happen once they have ships and how watered down teams might get. Ships can't cap strong points and tanks can't really do anything to ships.

Platoons with a couple of bombers and a tank or two calling out ground targets verbally could be fun?

It is going to be interesting to see how they balance this all in an "arcade" game - as opposed to something like WW2 Online did which was a massive multiplayer to the point where you could be the tail gunner in a bomber.. etc

Hmm, do I sense envy?

I've been building up my Russian planes and have to say they are brutes. Like the AirCobra but but more intense. I unlocked the LaGG 3-7 and LaGG 3-11, along with a BB-1, I-16 and I-153 seems like a pretty good line-up for only being Tier 3. I eat up lesser planes for lunch.

Personal goal: get all nations to Tier 8.

Achieved

I see why the Germans are considered one of the strongest at 8-9
I'm looking forward to some ME410 Trolling

Lots of new american planes too...

...compared to the Japanese

...the Brits are Tier 8 too but it happened during our team play yesterday and I forgot to do a screen cap
