Brain injuries are fun. Having a great time with mine from a face plant into a boulder (apparently, I certainly don't remember it). At least I dodged the bleeding into the brain. Instead of busting my face, I smashed my ribcage.

No false reassurances or empty platitudes, just a comment that I can relate to motorcycling and brain injuries.

Don't wreck yourself from riding overwrought over her injuries. There are times for the walls of a cage. This may be one of them for you.

Sorry to hear this, you're both in my thoughts and wishing for a speedy recovery.
In 2009 I rode 18,589 miles on an island that's 72 miles long. That's 50 miles a day everyday for 365 days. I think I'll go home now. 97k miles and still riding my YouTube Channel

Oh holy hell. I wish her the best recovery possible, and peace and strength for her caregivers--both healing and supporting healing take tremendous courage and strength.

If it is of any use, I know three guys who have suffered traumatic brain injury--2 on bikes and one in an industrial accident. All of them have made more progress than expected, and one has returned to full-time work as a marine salvage engineer, sharp as ever, after having his skull badly crushed and losing an eye. He's a hell of a rider, too. Another we brought to our local forum bike rally a couple of weeks ago; he's not ready to get back on a bike yet, but the desire to do so has given him a goal to work towards. He also stuffed us all and won the tipsy tricycle races, though.

It's a long and bumpy road, but there's hope. May she heal well.

Man, really sad to read this post. Hang in there. With time, patience, love, and some fighter's spirit she can one day stand stronger than ever.

Man, that's really sad. Hang in there and all the best to both of you. Hope she has a speedy recovery.

Idiots on the road are what terrifies me since my wife is also learning to ride a motorcycle and hopes to join me on our rides.
