Massive plot holes, fight scenes are ridiculous, CGI sucks but somehow I still enjoyed it.
there were parts of the movie that were horrifyingly bad....the opening sequence for instance. BUT! There were parts of the movie that I absolutely loved - like the scene where he hears music for the first time.
Interesting side story, Ive been using pot to cope with my chronic headaches and the night I watched that was like the second night I smoked and I had smoked wayyy too much kind of by accident. So im sitting there on the couch tripping balls and my wife told me later that I just kept saying "wait.... they're not allowed to feel?? Whuuuut?"

a newish movie that I absolutely love is In Time. A fantastic B movie with Justin Timberlake, Amanda Seyfried and the premise is that everyone has a certain amount of time displayed on their arm and you use it like currency. You go to work and at the end of the day you get 10 hours put back on, you buy dinner it costs 10 minutes.... and the people the control everything keep making things more expensive.
It's a very elegant metaphor for how things are run now in our world and how the wealthy control everything.
anyways, Its another movie I watched after having smoked too much with a really bad headache. Again, my wife told me I just sat on the couch the whole time saying "Waaaaait- whhhuuuuuuut?"

Its got one of the worst special effects cars crashes I have ever seen

anyways, trailer

But they weren't awful. Bad, sure, but not awful.
And complete agreement on the cult aspect of both.

In response to the "Tom Cruise can ruin any movie" posts, I submit that the only person who can ruin a move even more than Mr. Cruise is Leonardo DiCrappio. Worst actor ever IMHO. I'd rather see Steve Buscemi in a love scene with Mr. T than DiCrappio in anything.

Loved the book. DiCaprio's having staring the role kept me from seeing the movie.

Have you seen The Quick and the Dead?

And let's not forget Sharon Stone . . . she's killed a few movies too.

not as many as "Over Rated" Zeta Jones.....

I have not seen Harrit Vs. the kid but Ill queue it for sure.

Definitely check out Shutter Island before you totally write off DiCaprio. I dont much like him either, but I thought he did a really good job

I remember watching Silent Running on TV when I was a kid. I thought it was awesome. A few years ago I took my kids to see WallE and knew right away it was partly inspired by Silent Running. I know, cool story.

Yeah, I can see that. Wall E was very well done.

If you really wanna have a laugh, watch I Am Legend and then watch Last Man On Earth with Vincent Price (its basically the same movie). Zombies in double breasted suits crack me up to no end..... and the fact that he keeps in a suit at all times even though there is nobody around - such a different time
