Day Trippin' on the TNJT

Thanks "rob23" and all the rest for all your hard work putting this togeather. We are having a blast!
"Ktmdirtybiker" and I are doing day trips on sections of the TNJT. This first report is TNJT110_78 - TNJT111_RV - TNJT112 and TNJT 112_ToCamp. Due to time restraints, this was a quick trip. We were very pleased to find great back roads in this part of NJ. Some were durt/gravel but most were two lane black top through beautiful farmland easily done on street tires.

Start of TNJT110_78

There are two of these cool bridges

We ended this trip at Washington Crossing Historic Park

The next trip "The Pines"

This trip was to the Pines Barrons. The "big plain" was to do TNJT115_hero backwords- TNJT116-7072 - TNJT116_Hero - TNJT117 and TNJT118. We were only able to do about half of that. I have been riding in durt/rocks at Reading Anthracite for 2 years and the Pines since last year. It was a bad plain!!!
On this trip we used our "little bikes" We trailered the bikes and parked near Basto and took Batsto/Washington up to Cr 563. Cr 563 to Savoy Rd to were TNJT115-Hero crossed. We went backwards on TNJT115 around and up to the Wawa on Rt 70. After gas & a bit we traveled south on TNJT116_7072 & on to
TNJT116_Hero5. The plain was to stop at "Lucile" for lunch. We made it that far but i was done!!!! So after lunch we road back to to the car.

We had a great time and will be back to finsh the "Plan"

All was great til TNJT102 "Henderson Rd" talk about a rocky/mud puddle rd!!!!! It way great after we were done!!!! I can't believe i got my 1200gsa through that! that bike made me look good! We didn't even have nobbie on.

We had plained to do TNJT103_Hero but it was gated so we went around TNJT103.
The rest were great roads. We needed to get gas so we get off TNJT108 at RT46 and headed home.

Complete TNJT 116 Hero, TNJT117 and TNJT118

We started where we left off last time. We road over to Luclie's and picked up TNJT116 Hero and road TNJT117 & TNJT118.

Luclie's our start

TNJT116 Hero
Good fast road to start

I had some navigation mishaps but most of the roads go southwest to the road along The Garden State Parkway. We got stop by a Ranger who was very nice ones we showed him our Reg cards.

The Water crossing was about 10" deep.

I missed the road on the left after the water crossing but the road we traveled on was fun!

TNJT117
Another navigation mishap. I missed "Seedwell" on the right but we got back on track.

TNJT118
The start of TNJT118 is the first sand road after the bridge just past the Atsion Ranger Station.

TNT118 is mostly DEEP SAND!!!!

Excellent RR. I really enjoyed the photos and the writeup. I'd like to check out the TNJT out for myself. I'm in NJ quite a bit (especially the Frenchtown area) but this is the first I've heard of the TNJT. Could you tell me where you got the route?

TNJT South of the Pines

On Sept 20 2014 "Ktmdirtybiker" and I did most of the southern parts of TNJT. We got on TNJT119_AC just south of the Atlantic City Expressway. The pian was to do TNJT120, TNJT121 Belleplain And come back north on TNJT120 Hero eastrn side. It looked like there would be a lot of pavment so we took the "big bike". This loop was great fun and very "big bike" friendly. The sand roads are hard packed and you have to try very hard to find deep sand. Of course I found two spots on the first part of TNJT120 but My GS powered its self out. Great Fun!!! We only had one navigation problem finding the route off of RT559. The road the "way point" took us down looked over grown and from were we stopped looked like it didn't go through. It does! We doin't know that at the time so we went around and pickup the TNJT120 on the other side. The total miles 101

TNJT119

TNJT120

Off of RT623

Off of McDonald Rd just before Hesstown Rd

TNJT121 Belleplin

Hunters Mill Rd just off Rt 49

Lores Mill Rd

Joe Mason Rd

Rd in Belieplain State Forest

Road to Moores Beach

TNJT120 Hero

Narrows Rd off of Washington

Down the Southern Railroad tracks. This is full of woops and if they have rain the holes look like they hold water. It could
be a wet time!

Rd just before Rt 50

Rd by Tuckahoe Lake

Dead end at Lake?

Tuckahoe Wildlife Mgmt Area
