What kind of state has a state mandated class for a vasectomy ? Oh, now I see; it's California, the US leader in socialism.

Hey, find me somewhere else where I can lane-split, and where there are gorgeous beaches down the street. This state's government is far overreaching, but it's lovely here.

If you ice 'em down the first day and lay around for a few more you'd be good for the car IMHO. But you know that'll never happen.

Grab your bag of frozen peas's for at least the first four days and the light duty.
All the guys I now that had issues was because after a few days they said Ahhh I'm ok. NOT ...some of them had serious issues. I'd pick another day

personally, I'd leave everything intact. You never know when you may want to get another one going.

However, if you have to get it done, you'll want about a week before you get into any hard duty.

my brother had one done, and everyone told him that he'd be great in two days. He wasn't.

I had a friend who underwent the procedure. The urologist nicked an artery and it filled up his nutsack to the size of a cantaloupe. Yeah I saw, because he couldn't keep his pants closed. He rode a bike into the office, went to get the procedure, and was planning to ride home. We had to drive him back to the doctor's office to have his sack drained. I was more worried this thing was going to burst and soak my car's seat with blood.

OK, that's a one in a million event. I don't think there's a common prognosis post-vascetomy, it varies from bad to jump on the bike 2 hours later. The problem is, you don't know on which side of the scale you're going to hit.

4-5 day trip from SF to Oregon and back

I am planning a trip next week from San Francisco to Oregon and back. My friend and I will be riding a 2012 R1 and 2008 Ducati Hypermotard. Im a little worried about the fuel range on the Hyper. Most of the route is along main highways except from Yreka to Weaverville via CA-3. Think we will be ok?

I had mine done last year with the "no pain, no needle technique". Bullshit. I'm 6ft 1" and 200lbs. My whole body was moving while he worked down there. The smell of the cauterizing was an added bonus. I was fine after and healed well but you will be uncomfortable. I rode a few days later and shouldn't have. Not long distances either. 400K is a bad idea. Postpone it. If your brother in law is like mine, you would rather just cut your nuts off than be trapped in a car with him for the trip either. Reschedule man. TRUST ME.

I've been doing anesthesia for 25+yrs.
I've had a vasectomy.

I had mine on a Friday, laid around all weekend. Cake right?
Took 24 hr call on Monday. My sack got as big as my fist. Hurt like hell.
There is no way in hell i would go on that trip. Car, bike, airplane, anything.
cancel or stay home. Ice, limit time on your feet and heal.
