Reasons why you should buy a Ural

So, I have my first 500 miles out of the way with the new ural. Here are my observations.

There is nothing wrong with the front end. With the sachs shocks it is a good thing

The motor is... Well, not unlike an old airhead engine. Its not quiet, but it works good

My old hack was fun to putt around on, but I can actually go places with this one. First trip was a 75 mile round tripper to a drive in movie and my daughters first ADV ride. Home on a pitch black two lane.

Am I wrong to have confidence in this thing? It seems really well sorted out, as solidly built as any other.

My 650 ural didnt handle badly. The new one handles better than my first rig... A BMW.

65 is plenty fast wnough for a sidecar rig

First service was a snap.

We really want to help but.....

I'm sorry, but someone should have told you......w/o pix you don't really have that Ural & that little trip you went on, well it must have been a wonderful dream.
But I bet the riders on Soviet Steed would tell you what that dream means.

+1 on the nice!

My usual sidecar monkey is not nearly as photogenic as yours but I can forgive him that being he is great ballast and rides for cookies.

Nice rig. Orange is good for visibility .

i've got 20,078 km on mine (2011 GU) and no problems. Just keep changing the oil and tires as needed. Rode it from West Palm Beach, FL to Ashville, NC with no issues. (One of the Beemers along needed a day at the shop mid-way

Just gotta watch your distance to empty when the stations get scarce. I carry two 10 liter cans for peace of mind.

This weekend was a 200 mile odyssey to a friends firehouse for dinner. Madeline was rewarded by being able to try on full lockout.

You talked me into it (sorta).

I just bought a 1999 Kawasaki Classic (with a 1600 meanStreak motor) with a 2006 Ural sidecar.
