I replaced my 1991 KLR650 with a '93 KLR650. The '93 was replaced with a '95 KLR650. The '95 was replaced with a 2002 KLR650. The '02 was replaced with a 2008 KL650. The '08 was replaced with a 1999 KLR650. The '99 was replaced with a 2009 KLR650. The '09 was replaced with my currently owned 2010 KLR650.

Husky TR650 Terra. LOVE IT, but still won't part with the 09 KLR.

On the other hand, I have a 2012 DL650A VStrom that's going up for sale very soon...

I replaced my KLR with a DL1000 Strom. I do miss the Kawi, but the Suzuki is an absolute magic carpet on the highway.

Actually I replaced an '86 KLR600 with a '91 KLR650. Lather, rinse, repeat, X5.

Not sure what I'll do after my '06 hits 80K. Might have to get a new spark plug.

And maybe check the valves. Maybe.

This last spring after riding the 05 klr for 3 years, I upgraded to an 04 Ktm 950 adventure s great price range if you can find one. The added height and suspension is fenominal, not to mention the power. The ktm is my dd, and puts a smile on my face every time I get on her. Not to mention riding from Utah to the D2D and doing the Dempster this summer was a breeze 7000 miles in 20 days. My only gripe is not having a cruise control.

didn't replace it with anything... it's a keeper. I have other bikes that are better road & off road. it is what it is. mine is tittied up pretty good & I rode it in comparison with a 640ADV expecting to be blown away by it's superior (everything) and wasn't. not enough difference to make me want another bike. a 690... different story, 950.. way different story

I haven't parted with my '09 KLR and may end up keeping it, but since I've had the 640e the KLR has been parked. The KLR is much nicer for longer road trips, and buttery smooth by comparison.

I had a 2006 KLR. Had some upgrades notably a 320mm front disk and SS brake line.

What opened my eyes was when I went to an MSF ARC and found it took me at least 5' longer to stop from 20mph than any other bike in the course.

I bought a DL650. They were scarce new but I found a used one with 93 miles on it. Tried a bunch of other bikes then bought a 2009 DL650 with ABS. I really like the Tiger 1050 but the DL650 is still in my garage: a wonderfully flexible bike that is reliable as an anvil.

I replaced my '89 KLR650 with a 2007 model. I already had a '03 FJR1300 and a '04 CRF250X, so all bases were covered, or so I thought... I laid eyes on a new green 2014 Triumph Thruxton today.... I am SMITTEN!!!

05 klr with a 08 klr, 950a, 1200gs, 990a. Now F650GS which will eat up 1000 miles easy and still do dirt gravel nicely. Add a klx250 for single track and your covered! I don't need my F800ST and the Tuono is just grins!

My '06 has 70,000 miles on it now...not replacing, but we are buying a Yamaha Super Tenets....just for our 2-up trips. 500 mile days 2-up on the KLR are a bit tough.
