Real pity (for 2014), because the new Aprilia boss wanted to keep him, even with Melandri in.
But hopefully it works out for EL he's a very good rider

They're very competitive in BSB which is a similar spec.

New WSB schedule and qualifying format for 2014

Executive summary -- Dorna is tightening up the race day schedule and implementing MotoGP style qualifying, relegating Superpole to the dust bin of history.

They're back?

I'm sure someone on here scolded me for saying they left.

IIRC, Ducati had farmed out the effort with less and less "factory" support over the last few years. Francis Batta ran the Ducati WSBK bikes last season with poor results and a lot finger pointing.

For 2014, this new team will work right out of the Ducati Corse shops.

It is all semantics.

Meet the new boss, same as the old boss (Marinelli). That is not necessarily a bad thing, either.

So will they be the only "factory" team next year?

Not a 'new' team. Feel Racing, same team that ran the Dukes through all the recent glory years, Xerox etc. In fact that's why they lost that sponsorship, when they gave Feel the flick. They're good at it.

Of course there's still 'The Bike'... But I reckon with the new Special Edition jobbie, they've probably got something to work with...

All the bikes in BSB are equalised in the interests of better racing.
