Thought all the seats were taken. Decent riders signed...in all championships..? Interesting.
I don't think Alex Lowes has actually signed with Suzuki yet. He'd be the best bet for the team, a clone.

Leon Camier has to be on the list.

MV Racing Team Principal Lecture in Boston

Brian Gillen will be visiting Boston and speaking at the Larz Anderson Transportation Museum. Looks like the date will be early February. Brian is the platform manager for the three and four cylinder products as well as Racing Team Principal.

A very good friend of mine is close to both the museum and Brian. He invited him to speak and the Larz wanted to host it. The last time they hosted something similar featured Pierre Terblanche. Was a packed house and we got a pretty clear glimpse of new designs, including the Hypermotard and the Multistrada. Of course he spent quite a bit of time showing us the evolution of the 999, which was the end of him at Ducati...

Anyway, the MV lecture should be a good one, since they are going racing in World Superbike with a factory team. Those of us in New England with an interest may want to check with the Larz periodically.

That sounds cool, Pantah.

Nothing like Boston in February, eh?

Thanks for the information Pantah, I'd be interested in attending. Been there a number of times for European MC day, cool place.

Not exactly superbike related, but American P.J. Jacobsen will be racing a Kawasaki in WSS. Happy to see a Euro team give him another chance, after his two years in BSB.

He was improving and looking strong before he got hurt. Too bad for Kawasaki as the extra points he would have earned might have got them the manufacturer's title too.

Ebr?

Any news on the EBR effot in WSBK next year? Unless I've missed it, I haven't heard of any testing plans to date.

Sykes is flying!:

"New World Superbike champion Tom Sykes blitzed the first day of a WSBK test Monday at Jerez, leading with a reported time of 1:40.2 on his Kawasaki - four-tenths quicker than the top Superpole lap turned by Eugene Laverty last month at the track."

Hate to answer my own question, but I figured you folks would want to know the latest.

http://www.asphaltandrubber.com/wsbk...-buell-racing/

Yates is getting up there, 41?. However, with this being the first step into world competition for Buell, I'm sure his input is more valuable year one than the fastest new kid out there.

That's excellent news! It'll be great to see how they go.

Could be a struggle using two riders who've never seen the tracks before. All very well being 'all American', but a rider familiar with the circuits would have helped the cause.
Bryan Staring knows em, would have been a good choice.
