2014 Super Tenere with electronic suspension..

I was told, yesterday by my local Yamaha dealer, the new 2014 Super Tenere with have electronic suspension, cruise control, 3 more horse power, larger valves, different cams, etc.
Also, he said that Yamaha was going to "lower" the original price. Hmmm.

You sure the words "Maybe they should..." weren't in there somewhere?

Info on the US '14 models will be released to dealers in March, till the content and pricing for US models is only speculation.

In Europe there will be two levels of trim, the base model w/o ES, center stand, or grab rails. Then E model will be fully loaded. I'd suspect pricing will mirror that of the FJR's similarly equipped but maybe $500-800 less.

Just speculation on my part, I know nothing.....dah!

cruise control would be a welcome addition. is there any reason every fuel injected bike couldn't have it? I expect it to be quite common in a few more years.

I hear the engine is pretty heavy, take that out. Then you can do away with a lot of the fluids too, two birds with one stone!

My beloved BEAST is much like my F350.

It wasn't light on the show room floor.
And when I got it home I added Steel Bars & Guards all around it. Just made it heavier.

But try to stop either. :)

They both can carry outrageous amounts of cargo and passengers in total comfort to just about any spot you have the nerve to point them.
Safe. Reliable. And get you home again.

Light?

Wrong bike. Wrong mission. Plenty of other choices for light duty work.
These are Super Duty work horses.

2014 Super Tenere with electronic suspension..

Pretty close. Only twice that age and probably twice that weight.

That, and he is missing the second half of his truck. Not near enough doors.
