Not one little bit!! And I'm not a Harley guy by any means. I could see myself trying that one out.

Def a good looking bike, but I'll bet seriously underpowered. If the 883 makes 45hp at the wheel, what will these (be allowed to) make...35hp?

4 valves per cylinder, overhead cams, liquid cooled. I'd guess it makes horsepower up to 7000 or more RPM. Far different proposition than an air cooled 45 degree pushrod actuated twin.. Everyone is free to speculate but it should run with any of the foreign 750 Vtwins.

I like it a lot. Definitely a good looking bike. And it wouldn't surprise me at all if that 750 is capable of being massaged into a replacement for the old XR750 on the flat track circuit.

Good looking it is

IMHO the suitcase size radiator needs to come down to about briefcase size, and that black slab of plastic under the seat could def use some work too. But other than that, nice job HD designers.

The V-rod was allowed to make almost twice the horsepower of a big twin.

Uh, this ain't no V-Rod. No way HD will step over the more expensive 883 or much more expensive 1200 (what, maybe 55 wheel hp?) in power. Piss off way to many customers.

Plus let's face it, these bikes were designed with India in mind. Power ratings don't carry the same importance there.

What will help these new bikes are their lower curb weights.

I'm kind of underwhelmed. I hope they sell a boat load, but......I still rather have a Sporty. Now if they put the drive train in something that looked like the old Honda Ascot, or the XR1200, or the old XLCR, then they'd have my interest. Probably not anybody else's, but they'd have mine

I'm still kinda of pissed at HD over the whole Buell debacle.

500cc and 750cc are also nicely placed for the tax floors on European countries. The 751st cc makes the anual tax more than double, for example.

After several hours of an existential crisis, here's what I think. This is aimed at people who know the Harley-Davidson name as an American icon but aren't too caught up in what is considered a proper Harley-Davidson. They don't need an undersquare 45° v-twin with fork and blade connecting rods on a roller and ball bearing three piece crankshaft. They don't want a huge bike but they want some of the aura of the brand. The aftermarket's response to these bikes should be really interesting. The potential is huge. How many companies have a set of staggered dual exhaust ready to ship?
