Sent using strings and tin cans and Tapatalk.
I'm liking this thing more and more all the time.

Thanks

The videos are certainly much better. Especially so with the image stabilization off. I had never really considered this camera but with your testing and already having a Montana, the VIRB is looking more like the one for me.

What I like is the way there's still detail on both sides of the road at the end of the video from about 2:05 onwards - it's bright sunlight on one side and shade on the other and both show up well.

Another test: 720p, 60 FPS. No video stabilization.

The Dashboard is from the Aviation presets.

On the hood of my car, and that white stuff at the bottom of the display is not an effect. It is snow, dammit.

That video was good to my eyes. More so given the fact that it was 720 and not 1080. I'm really impressed. This camera is really moving up to the top on my list. Thanks again for all your work

My wife said "if you want a Virb I'll get it for you for Christmas."

My birthday is 21st of November ???

That's two days away.

You never know, they might be the next "Beanie Babies" and sell out! Probably best not to wait.

It's worth noting that even though the literature and the box the camera comes in both mention the iPhone App, it has not shipped yet. That doesn't bother me, as the Montana/62S/78S work as reasonable remotes anyway, but there are some people who're getting their knickers in a twist over it on the Garmin Forums.

Talking about Class Action lawsuits, etc. Amazing.

Some people always get in a twist over things. Maybe I'm missing something but the unit itself with the screen seems like it would be easy to use for settings and to insure the unit is aimed correctly. With my Montana that gives me a remote and an extra battery charging. I'm pretty sure I'll pick up an elite pretty soon.

That's what I think too. I'm just happy to have it now. I'd be fairly cheesed off if they'd held off releasing it because something as insignificant as an app wasn't ready.

I mean, does the camera take pictures and videos or doesn't it?

Review

I had planned on buying a GP but after this great review, I am leaning towards the VIRB. Hope they are pretty easy to learn how to operate. Thou many things I seem to never learn how to do all the things they are capable of doing.
