I've been kickin' the shit out of work, wooping Batman and lovin' Catwoman(Julie Newmar type).

Hi gang.

My moms having heart surgery today, heading to the Tri-cities tomorrow. Don't think I can play this weekend. Got the first three weeks of Sept off.

I have no plan, just a suggestion: breakfast at 8:00 a.m. at the Duvall Cafe.
Weather is supposed to be getting less wonderful as Sunday approaches. Stossell Creek to Cedar Ponds is a nice dirt ride with lots of side roads that might appeal to someone's 'spur-of-the-moment' adventurous inspiration. Sultan bakery is good for a coffee stop and after a bit of pavement up to Index. (If I'm not mistaken, Index is just a mountainside away from the Reiter Pit area, we could always check in there for a game of adventure baseball....I have the necessary equipment.) Lots of interesting side roads before and after Jack Pass. Skykomish probably has someplace open for a snack and a soda...and a gas station, too. If we see a side road that looks interesting, we try it. Or if someone has a favorite that they have not done for awhile, we do it. Unstructured, informal, slightly-warped....I'm not picky....I just wanna get outa Dodge for a spell....

Lets see what the "head count" is. I'll be at the Duvall Cafe in the morning but Im headed straight out behind into the hills behind it for some 'sploration..... I had to cut my ride short with Ron and Dave and I want to spend some time out there. Its all dirt... If youse blokes want to head off to index etc no worries. I feel like some aimless wandering out there....

Stosh, you picking up a thumper tomorrow......Dale??

I don't care if it's all dirt or half and half. Just wanna ride.....don't want to get too single track oriented because my bike and my bod are happier when I fall over fewer times. I plan on being at the Duvall cafe at 8:00 a.m. Maybe two groups will form up....one for technical single track and one more Big GS oriented, who knows. See you there. Let's have FUN !!!

No Thumper yet - So I will be on the Beast. As much as I may regret this - I am following the Aussie into the hills.

If ya's like, or there is the Index option. Im not kiddin'...I need dirt, BUT I have ridden those trails on a GS and seen quite a few out there in the past. We might do a few tight trails but nothing you wont be able to get through if you take it careful-like.... No "KTM Gully" or anything like that...

Also, if it doesnt rain the dust is wicked! Dirt helmet and goggles are a good idea.
