A shout out for Max BMW

I was looking at a RT-P Max BMW had a year or so ago. I posted in the NE regionals asking if Max BMW was a good place to deal with. I had many, many folks praising them. Zero bad experiences...

I called Max BMW and spoke with the gentleman who is in charge of internet sales(Drew Batson) so he could answer a couple questions I had. I ordered some parts from Max BMW at 2:30 Wednesday afternoon.
Within a few minutes had a confirmation E-mail from Drew stating all parts were in stock and would be shipped that day. I chose normal ground shipping.

The box was on my doorstep this morning between 9 and 10!

I'm heading out to the garage to install the upgraded cam chain tensioner, then check the TB sync I did yesterday with a Manometer.
I'll replace the site glass at a later date. Just wanted to have one on hand.
Thanks Drew! I'll be ordering from him/them again!

Oh yeah, UPS had a hand in this too and provided excellent service!

Agreed. I've always had great service from MAX. And the M&Ms and stickers don't hurt either!

Just a counterpoint. After an earlier unfortunate experience with Max NH, I though I would give them another chance and called with some questions about and a request for an estimate on a 2014. They said they'd call me back right away. Of the dealers I did call, they were the only one who didn't call back. They have a good reputation and I suspect they are a very good dealer a majority of the time but they do screw up. Max BMW was the one dealer that seemed to not understand or listen to our expectations - twice. You know the saying . . . .! The best thing to do with any dealer to avoid boondoggles like we had is, IMHO, to tell them your expectations (e.g. if you say you will then I expect you to do it) and then make sure they understood what you said. To do so may help them and save you from wasting your time.

Just a note to let you know that the NH store is down to 1 salesman at the moment. He's great, but is so over loaded that he has a hard time just to answer the phone. I've bought two bike from them in the past and they are great to deal with. Don't give up.

I bought a 2014 from Max New Hampshire two weeks ago. John is doing a great job running the sales department and Korie just moved to the sales department. She called me right back with the answer to a question. I basically bought the bike over the phone. I had no problems buying from them and would absolutely recommend them.

Being the single dissenter in this, I am pleased to see Max has so many satisfied customers. I just wish we had been among them but it's a little late for that now as it's pretty much a fait accompli. We have all the bikes and parts pretty much bought. Our experience was really unfortunate as they earlier pissed off my SIL so bad that he'll never go back. I gave them a second chance but that didn't work out either. In any event, I will stick to the premise that they are probably very good but things just didn't click with us.

An update: Max BMW finally returned my call. It was over two months late but they did return it and apologized for being late. I thanked them for returning the call, told them I had already ordered a bike and wished them well. Shit happens.
