When i click 'quote' - nothing shows in the reply box

Hi There
I have checked the list of topics on the first page of this thread and did not find anything relevant.

When I click on the 'quote button' it takes me to a "Reply to Post' page but the box to type in does not contain the text I am wanting to include in my reply.

I have tried it in my posts and other peoples post with the same result.
I have logged out and back in, no change.

I dont know what else to do or check. Could this be a setting particular to me or a more common problem?

Thanks for keeping this site going
Hay Ewe

I have found that this is a browser issue when it happens to me.

I've encountered different glitches with both Firefox and Chrome.

Getting the same thing. Some posts I can quote, others I can't.

Same here

I can quote most posts but some i can't using my preferred browser, Firefox (25.0.1)

I deleted cookies, restarted, tried from different computers on different networks

Just tried using Chrome and quoting seems to work fine with that browser

Oh well, there are worse things in life

It happens to me to with Firefox. I made a post about it awhile ago. I thought it was fixed, when it worked later. But it turned out some messages will quote others won't.

Just today started for me. Same with edit and preview: no text.

I've been editing and previewing on another forum that uses the same software underneath, but I know ADV has been modified more than most.

Although on this post preview worked OK.

EDIT: OK I use the "edit" button a lot. I made my retirement nest egg by editing.

ADV software will let me edit most of my posts in a thread, just not the last post with pictures. ?? Or is it the last post longer than X characters??
