The way he finished the season you'd think that would be enough but Mark will get even better for sure next season.
I think Yamaha made some big improvements in the last 1/3 of the year, for Jorge, anyway. Hopefully they continue that trend. Jorge's was the bike to beat in the second half of the season.

Vale is going to need to see some similar improvements for the bike to suit his personal riding style. No evidence of that happening just yet.

This is the only result needed at this point.

He has been like a sprinter with lead weights tied to his ankles for the last 5 years.

I guess if I have three hopes for the 2014 season it would be for Pedrosa to win the championship, NH to be closer to the podiium and, for CE to regularly beat his teammate. Never really been a fan of Edwards but there is something about Aleix Espargaro that I find slightly irritating. All three are probably a long shot.

I guess it's time to shell out 100 euros for 2014 Moto GP subscription so I could enjoy testing on Monday.

I don't know how he maintains his zen-like composure with one crushing disappointment after another. Maybe a nice home in Switzerland makes the pain go down easier.

In any case, my hope for him is going through the season without breaking anything. That's a long shot right there.

I'm in...re-upped for the 2014 MGP videopass. I bought the 1/2 year pass for the first time this year, best money I have spent in a long time, already looking forward to see how the testing goes tomorrow, especially Hayden on the Honda!

It was interesting that in the post race interview he said, roughly "now Marc is #1 (in the team) and we need to try to learn something from him." I suspect if he won the championship next year he'd just call it a day. The guy has had so many injuries.

Aspar has just one Honda RCV1000R at the test so Aoyama will test today. Hayden will ride it Tuesday and Wednesday.

Maybe this was his "punishment year" for leaving the fold. Now he can say, "If you fix the braking, I can be help to Lorenzo!"
