BMW Nav III questions

I just baught a Nav III from an inmate, This will go on an 02 DL 1000 (v-Strom) which gets delivered Tuesday!. I am looking at the white plug on the end of the harness and I can see three prongs. My question is where does this plug into on a V-Strom? Or do I bare the wires and make a conventional hook up?

My only experience was with an old Quest 2 which required a voltage drop from 12 to 5.

Also I am looking for the disk to manage this through my computer.

Thanks for Helping out

The plug you are looking at is for a BMW wire harness. You will need to remove/replace it with something for your V-Strom. The BMW Navigator-III is a 12vdc compatible unit so there's no need to drop the voltage.

Thanks for the reply

Anyone know what the wire colors represent?
