Question 550 to montana power supply

Have a zumo 55o mount nicely wired in already. Want to switch to a Montana. Is there a device that configures the zumo power cord to the Montana input (I assume they are different) such that I don't have to re run the wiring with the new Montana power supply cord?

Nope. I have a Montana Rugged Mount and a Zumo 665 and they are different.

I have two bikes, each are wired to the 12V supply of the bike and fused for GPS power. At the end of this connection at the handlebar I have a two conductor Molex connector. I have a Garmin 60cx that I have been using for years and have added the Molex connector mate for the power connection at the end of the power cable for the GPS. That way I can simple add the GPS to either bike by just plugging in the power connection. I now have a Garmin Montana 600, the cradle and the power cord assembly that supports power and audio. When I added the Molex connector to the end of the cable assembly (power leads) I tried to coil up the cable assembly, but it became a large bundle. I want to cut the end off the cable assembly and just use the power cord section. I already have the power fused in the wiring per bike. Has anyone tried to cut the end off the Montana cable assembly and dig out the power leads and use them? I wanted to ask before I tried it and found out the wires are to small to work with. Then I have a piece cable that would go into the garbage.
If you don't know where your going don't lead!
