Quiet exhaust, a gaudy and obnoxious hi viz vest, and keeping it under the speed limit, mostly.

See, I never understood YOLO. For me it's 'YODO' and it better be for a good cause and not something stupid...

I get off of work at 1am. I got pulled over a couple months ago for doing 70-75 in a 35 down our main street here, Broadway. The cop what's the rush? Nothing, just got off of work and having fun. Young cop, says, looks like a very capable bike (KTM 950 SM). Why yes it is. Slow it down a bit, OK? Yeah. And thanks for not making me chase you.

I guess, there is a lot more important shit going on in this gang town than me hauling ass on my bike.

Down our way, they got a new trick. Place a gantry over the road. Another one 50 miles on. Photograph and time stamp you when you pass the first and again when you pass the second. Calculate average speed. You over, your shit arrives by mail. Being nice to the cop does not help. IBM has no soul ....

THIS or THIS might be just the thing you need.

Oh cool. Time to place my order. The cameras at intersections got taken down in Albuquerque, I can't remember why, but I think it had to do with the company that ran them. Anyways, I didn't think they did the european style ticketing here in the US?

So, where is this? As easy as it is to put one camera/radar on a post, why would anyone go to all that trouble? And if it's in the US, they have to prove it was you riding that bike to issue a citation.

Where have you been, good sir, while they installed all these red light cameras and speed cameras that have ZERO proof of operator identity but mail a ticket to the owner of the vehicle in question? Huge constitutional violation but it happens thousands of times a day.

Nobody wants to fight it, apparently. We don't have that crap around here.

Our camera's require proof of the operators identity. I have no problem with the system, so long as proof of who was driving is provided.

As for avoiding cops, well just don't be stupid. Know what looks like a speed trap, avoid small towns, and you will do good.

Go to the Speedtraps website and get informed about where you're riding. Once the cops find a good place to hide, they usually keep using it. I know where those places are around here.

Avoid speeding where cars speed. Downhills, where it opens up, end of passing lanes.
