Not to be a downer, but something to consider with the sharing of the equipment. What happens if someone has problems? They have to leave early for some unexpected reason? Their bike breaks down and can't go on? An accident and they have to go to the hospital. Just something to think about. I know nobody will be left behind. But once the problem is taken care of and you can finish the trip or at least continue on, how will you handle that? Something to think about.

That ^^^ is how I look at it.
But I have a big bike and can carry plenty.
I just feel the need to be self-sufficient in case of....whatever !!

I generally bring enough for myself + either an additional day or two (just in case) or if someone else needs something.

It is definitely something to consider. My original plan was to bring everything I need because if the group decides that we wanted to cut it short and take a highway back, I could just keep going on the route if I wanted. I was planning to do it solo anyways initially.

It is an adventure trip, correct?

I plan on packing to be self sufficient. Of course any tools/food I bring I am more then happy to share if we do run into any issues, etc.

Yack!,,what rabbits you talkin' bout there Elmer Fudd?

Cottontails,, okay,, depending upon where they are.
Jack rabbits,,,never,, unless it's a survival sitchee-ayshun,,
then it's off to a medical retreat for 4 years of cleansing,,and purging,,and spiritual soul searching, and countless hours of asking yourself,,"Why!?,,Why did I ever eat Jack Rabbit??",, and then, some time after that,,,you are certain to die in the end.
