OK, it's looking like dinner is a bust, but I'll swing by just in case.

Leaving now to hit the show before.

You are a brave an Mort. I pulled out too, wanted take an effort to support what they have set up down there...but it's just too nasty out here, & apparently even worse in the city.
Please post a few photos of the surrounding streets at the show can you...& of course a few bike photos. I may try for tomorrow.

Or, not.

Not too bad out, but peeking over the first hill, I see cars sideways at the the bottom. I go the other way to detour around the hill, and rain starts to fall- in 28 degree air.

Hmm... I don't have to do this, and I probably wouldn't see anyone I know anyway. And, idiots on glare ice are a little more threatening than are idiots on powder.

I'll see what tomorrow looks like.

tomorrow

Ken, we're thinking of having breakfast at Fender's 'round 09:30 and checking the show out at 11.

At this point my workday is done, but there are still two patients of mine waiting for their transportation home.
When those folks leave , I can leave.

(There is all kinds of noise about why anyone would be on the road in weather like this, and there are some who have to be - only to trust cab drivers to take them to some treatment and back home)

Good call on bailing for the evening, I went earlier and made sure I was out of there before the freezing rain hit (barely), as the last few miles on my commute home was a bit on the slick side.

One of my favs.............would make a great sweep bike

And don't forget to check out earwig's bike and knary's paintings.

I just went out to bring in my paper that wasn't there. Everything looks the same as it did last night, except that now it is crusty on top.

So, mmmayyybe not breakfast for me.

Frankly, as much as it sucks, I am glad that so far we haven't heard from anyone who headed out and got hurt

Not, apparently.

The roads are fine, traffic is excellent and the dipshits are easy enough to spot from a distance.

Too bad Fenders was closed. The coffee shop next door was open so I had a drink of cake and a bagel.

Luke, I am so sorry! Hopefully Bagel and coffee was good.
Fenders just posted on facebook that they are opening at 3 p.m. for the safety of their staff.

You know what really bites me? I had PTO for Saturday , a day off just for The One show, then I -like a fool- pick up a shift in Oregon City because their RN is stuck in her house somewhere in the woods, and it went downhill from there. ......

So this morning I am reading this, telling myself next year will be alright
