They are offering the 2.3 ecoboost 4 cyl for the v8 haters. It has over 300hp.

Different car same idea

Ya got to wonder what the stylist were thinking

My wife wanted to buy a 2014 wrx wagon but could not find the package she wanted and they have stopped making them so they can retool for the 2015 models. So now we wait to see them in person and drive one.

I for one am not in love with the boring ass ho hum styling similar to what so many see in the 2015 mustang. Not sure who the market is these designers are aiming for..

Oh and my wife says she see's the charger look in the new mustang as well

Must be a woman thing

As the owner of a 1966 GT conv. and a 2006 GT conv. (and long time Mustang owner), I like it. I wish they had dropped the nose a little more. Its a little too high at the front (IMO). More like this for me:

… and people complain that things looks too much like an Aston Martin? Its like saying your wife is too good looking, or you life is just too good.
Those Taurus things look good for what they are. I don't want one, but at least it doesn't look exactly like every other 4 door soap bar out there.
IRS, hey its gonna happen sometime. My 2006 has a great ride and handling with some Steeda bit tossed in on the solid rear axle. I don't mind the solid rear axle at all but who cares as long as they don't jack the price way up for IRS.

The wife already likes it and gave the OK to upgrade.

Now the new WRX. Only thing to say on that is that I'm happy I have a 2012 WRX wagon and will leave it at that.

Blame pedestrian crash standards. Low pointy noses are no longer allowed.

Agreed.

One of the exact regulations that is killing off one of my other favorites (in Europe), the Land Rover Defender.

They just need to save us from ourselves.

Hold on a second there.. Did you just compare styling of Subaru to something other than a Subaru??? That WRX you posted is one of the most blandly styled cars of all time.

I myself had a '11 STI sedan and that thing was by no means pretty to look at. Fun, but only the looks a mother could love I then upgraded to a '13 Boss after the dreaded ringland failure.

The more I look at it, the less enthusiastic I am about it. It looks great from some angles, and not from others. Final judgement when I see one in person, and drive it. Until then, I'm still lusting for last years Boss 302.

I, for one, love the lines of the new Mustang:

The view from the cockpit is sweet, too:

New Mustang

I have a friend that is a tire designer at Michelin. He just finished a new tire for a Mustang that is being developed to go head to head with the Corvette. He told the Ford engineers to save their money and just buy a Corvette.....he's a Chevy guy.....

Does anyone really think the GT Mustang and the Corvette are direct competitors?? At twice the price and an entire division working to make the Corvette the best it can be, it better damn well beat a 4 seater "secretary's car". I've still got 20 years and 40 pounds to go before I'm ready for a Vette.

Mustang GT will never compete with the Corvette. The Boss, yes, with base vette, if they bring it back.

Broadcasting from a Mexican radio.

I own a '12 Gt. I like what they did with the rear of the new car. They got the stance down better too - mine sits ass up. I know it is wider overall and lower - both good things. The inside looks nicer but I can't imagine they truly nailed that one.

Not a fan of the front but... let's see one in person. I never have understood the solid axle haters - drive one and you will see it is as well mannered as any 400 plus hp rear driver. Crude, but always behaves. Modern electronics go a long way in saving you from yourself too.
