Helicopter pilot is too good for inertia.

If I ever get stuck out in the woods, I am calling this guy....

That is so impressive I question if it is real? It does take it a second longer to hook up, and you would have to move fast to make it worth a $20 tree. My dad was a helicopter pilot/mechanic, I'll have to show him.

Saw heli logging by Detroit Lake last summer, same thing. The guy had the machine running full blast the whole time swinging huge bundles of 3 or 4 logs at a time.

Real. Same load, same route over and over again. Still, great skills.

Real deal

20 years ago I worked on my Sisters Christmas tree farm during my vacation from my real job.

I got to set the hook for the helicopter for an entire week. You do the same action a few thousand times and you get good.

It was fun until the clouds came out. We would get static electricity built up and when we reached our hand out to grab the hook from the helicopter you would get a blue flame a foot long that would give you an awe full static shock. It hurt bad.

One pilot was good enough to put the hook directly into my hand almost every time.

Good memories

Now I understand why that pilot may have crashed awhile back, doing XMas trees.
