An opportunity to ride in NV April 3-8 has come up for me. Because of this I will have to be working the weekends of Spring Break and April Fools.
Sorry, but I am out once again.

She's no dummy!

It's HER family that we're going to visit. I'm just lucky enough to have a gal that wants to take the long way to Eagleville, CA. On dirty bikes no less!

The campground down at the pville reservoir is now a deer condo. 7 of them laying around sipping grass tea or something. Weren't even bothered to try to hide when I putted by 30 feet away.

Sorry Scott. I don't use a GPS. I'll try to put together a map for you.

I assume this is primitive camping... no amenities like showers? I might bring a friend who's a complete camping n00b, and want to set the proper expectations on the facilities front (I already set the proper expectations on the attendee front)

I don't know about showers, but I know there's a terror pit or two.

Semi primitive - There are Pit Toilets (220grit TP) , Picnic table/campfire ring and running water (as in...river) - to me that's more than primitive . Most likely whey will be too cold to worry about showering.

Skip the planning and have them bring an extra bottle or two and a heavier than planned clothes, and the watch the problems go away.

MortimerSickle,
Your link is to the weather report in Portland, OR not Prineville, OR....
Completely different weather patterns etc! But you know that The weather for Prineville that weekend is a bit colder and some winter precipitation off and on...

I have been camping at Millican Plateau in Feburary with a forecast for 100% snow and precipitation. It snowed for about an hour lightly and was sunny the whole time, another weekend it was forecasted 100% rain, rained for 4 hours heavy with winds a t 30-45mph, 30 minutes after the rain and wind it was sunny and calm 55 degrees and gorgeous...... You just never know till it happens!

Hmmm. I might have to bail on skiing with my girls for the day and ride a bit. The Husky could use some exercise.

If not then campfire libations will be in order.
