Who's to say you can't go camping there this weekend ALSO, and warm the firepit up for us?

Its 250 miles each way, thats tough for me to get away with two weekends in a row. Gotta take the misses for her ride this weekend so I can get away with making next weekend a long one.

Can I urge everyone who is caging, trucking, triggering to this event to bring a few bundles of firewood... looks cold btw! As the number of people grow around the fire the circle gets bigger and the distance to the fire increases, therefor necessitating a larger fire! Killowat and I spent an afternoon cutting 4 year old downed juniper last year, we filled a pickup and almost went through it all by Sunday night!

Thanks everyone!

And not just for this event either, the offer stands.

I'm sure you've got it all sussed now. We could always use the other one's for running an electric air pump in camp.
Can't wait!!

Question question for the Chimney Rock experts: is there water there, or do we pack it in?

There is a well near the other end of the campground, that was a bit brown, like the river, when I used it 3 years ago. It's supposedly potable, but I'd use a filter on it if I were you. For the last two years, we've packed water in, a couple of the motorhome/trailer crew set us up with 5-gallon jugs to use. I'll be packing 2 gallons of water and a gallon of whiskey with me.

See y'all Friday evening

I'll have 20 gallons in the camper, but will try to bring an extra 5 Gallon jug for camp use for the ride in's as well. Also will have charge cables on my Honda genny to hopefully keep one of SuperD!'s batteries charged. Who needs stators ;)

Weather is looking good for y'all. I know it says rain on Friday, but that pretty much translates to 15 minutes of sprinkles over here.
A chance of showers means partly sunny.
A little moisture will be good to knock the dust down for you and the clouds will keep the overnight temps from being too cold.
Have fun!

Weather bummer!

I sure am not pleased about the weather forecast I saw this morning. I am not a wet weather rider. The way the forecast appears, I would be making a 300 mile trip so that I could read a book in my motorhome.

I was looking forward to meeting new ADV. riders from other parts of the North West. I will just see ya down the road somewhere.
