cooking..hell, even eating,,cuts into the drinking time!

Stop at a Deli on the way,,grab some cooked animal parts and a tub of tater salad to wash down with beers. Grab a banana or a bagel for b'fast,,all good!
Got leftover cold chicken or ribs etc. for lunch the next day!

grill

Thanks, the grill simplifies what I need to bring and focuses my menu choices.
What's the firewood situation like? I remember scrounging for some but cannot remember if it was mostly brought.

Oh, and Buffalo Trace whiskey (it's on SALE!!) had a hand in this.....

Let me re-phrase....

Buffalo Trace sucks.

That's why it's on sale.

Although I haven't tried it, I can't say that the name makes me want to go out and buy any. Maybe you better save a pass around bottle AJ!

I'll be sure to bring a bottle of something myself to pass around the fire as well. I'll try to find something that doesn't come in a plastic bottle .

Yeah, to each his own. Some folks don't like Sushi... go figure?

Actually, not to get to technical, but I had a long chat with a group of scientists at Los Alamos studying the addictive qualities of certain foods. Short answer.... everyone experiences the same taste slightly different from another person. So if 'Trace hits your palate in a bad way, to another it may be the "Nectar of the Gods"

Woodsford Reserve is my personal go-to after Peterman turned my head around.

I suppose you have forgotten about George Washington crossing the Mississippi, in the middle of the night in a snow storm. So he could kick the crap out of those Communist Japanese at Little Big Horn. They even made a statue of some of those dudes puttin up the flag on top of the hill just so you would remember.
