Did you wear your new FOX Armor? ATGATT. Save it for Moab.

Hello Fearless Moab leader...

It's funny you show those pic's.

Our ride took us from Long Beach straight north, then west, to eventually get our group on Sunset Blvd., which took us through Hollywood. Right after we pass the Hollywood city sign, I spot this "being" walking down the sidewalk with a gigantic Jar Jar Binks head just strolling down the sidewalk.

The round trip was about 110mi. from my house, so it was a good length ride. I got no pics going up or back, only a few up at the lake. I'm pretty sure we had 22 bikes at the start. Our ride leader suggested that we bring a lunch since we would not be near anything close. This turned out to be a great idea, we found a couple of picnic tables and tree stumps, and all of us had a great lunch.

The destination was the Franklin Canyon Park, right above Beverly Hills, there really is some nice real estate in BH!!!

There is quite a film history to the Franklin Lake, most notably the opening shot of The Andy Griffith Show, walking along the lake with Opie.

A couple of pics from the day.

At the end of the day, I think everyone was...

One fellow inmate, Tom, was out there with us on his new Piaggio BV350. Beautiful bike Tom!

...and to answer your original inquiry, NOPE, I did not wear my new Fox gear, although it is the streets of SoCal, I probably should have it on. Guess i'll save the break in for Moab.

Simba, did you ever make it up to any of the Santa Monica Mtn area's back in you UCLA days? There sure are tons of nice little parks and natural area's up there.

Hello Sam,

Nice Pics. Somewhat scary riding So Cal streets on a scooter. But I am sure there is a 'method to the madness'.

I promise you will see some great sights on our Moab ride. I never got to see much of the mountains while in L.A. I was too busy with school and to broke $$ for anything else. My Brothers and I spent a lot of time at the beaches especially Venice Beach.

Imu

We saw this guy often:

I use to see that guy often in the 1990s. Haven't been to that beach in a long time.

Tom,

Same, I haven't been to Venice in many years. The group should stop in there on one of these rides...ahh, maybe not!

Nope, no method, just hope for the best. Like most in any city, anywhere, there is always a story us riders can tell about the crazies that almost got us.

Moab alarm clock will be going off soon.

Hello So. UT guru,

That's what your face will look like too if you would join us on that Zuma!

Maybe Tae & Imu will add scooters to their inventory also. Group scoot ride out of SG, yea, that would be the ticket!

Hello Sam, I already resemble that remark--My first motorbike was a 2009 Yamaha C3 scooter--a 49CC--rocket and we still have that scooter. I had told my wife and daughters that is all I wanted. Something to 'putz' around the neighborhood with. Within 3 days of getting the C3 I was back on ebay (I did not know anything about craigslist at the time) and bought a 1978 Honda Twinstar CM185T: my first real motorcycle.

I then went ahead and rattle canned it to John Deere theme bike.

We need RRR to bring any bike to Moab. Is it April yet?

First, what the hell you doing up this early?

Imu you need to grow a pair, drop that adventure riding crap and all that playing in dirt and mud. Time to get back on scooter train, get on fleebay and find yourself 3 or 4 different types of scooters. Man up dude!

Your 'Deere' looks fantastic! There is a guy in our older BMW gatherings, that shows up on his 'Deere' airhead(older bmw). Dang, I can't find any pics...

Thanks Friends,

I do have a Burgman 650 but its really my wife's bike. Probably the most refined bike in my collection.

The JD bike was the first bike I rattled can. I used Rustoleum Farm implement paint--about $15.
