For clarification:

Chad and I are going to Reiter Monday, probably in the afternoon. Tony might be coming. Anyone with a thumper or a real dirt bike is welcome to tag along. I don't expect to see any pavement nor gravel for that matter. I'll probably be on a dirt bike, no plate, all business.

I guess I'm leading the ride. I'm going to ride from the lower parking area, the big gravel parking lot or from under the power lines to the top of Wallace Falls in Wallace Falls State Park, then maybe up to the log bridge on May Creek. Then we might ride over to Deer Flats. The trails I have in mind are thumper oriented. They are too technical, narrow and rocky for a GS. I wouldn't even attempt it on Dales GS let alone mine.

There is some very pretty country there, but you have to work for it. If the guys are up for it we might ride the drag line. It has some very rough creek crossings and hill climbs with hair pin turns over big drop offs. There are also some very tough rock obstacles and killer hill climbs, stuff reserved for the dedicated off road crowd and trials bikes. I'm sure we'll stick to the not to tough terrain.

non-available items: skid plate, jet kit, pipe. I'll have to get with blm1954 to make me a skid plate. I'm tearing in to the carb today, DR200 not so peppy.

Rieter to Wallace Falls, the hard way.

Here is the map of the trail (road) to Wallace Falls (yellow line) from Reiter, it's old forest/mining road all the way. The red line is the road up to the old log bridge on May Creek. The road above the log bridge is nothing more than a boulder field now due to erosion. I've ridden it on a 4x4 ATV and it was the limit of what we could do. It wouldn't even be suitable for my trials bike. I've also hiked above the log bridge to some scenic overlooks, tough going, but worth the view.

Due to recent develpments on the BIG PIG pavement run (Stosh needs to reshoe the car) It looks like our Sunday ride has been canceled Man I hate to rip up a perfectly good hall pass when they are given out on a limited basis, so anybody want to switch this ride to Sunday Would that work for anybody?
