So did the last rider lined up on the second wave. He was watering the weeds when the cannon went off.

Either Honda Fat Cats or Yamaha Big Wheels. I saw a bunch of those this weekend.

And the above picture looks like the guys bike exploded. Looks gnarly, hope he was able to walk away from that one.

Way to go guys!

Once you get outta that dust it sure looks like fun. Would hate to drop into the hole above at speed...yikes.

Yes those are 1987 BW -350's and that is Mr. Big-Wheel and his cohort Cretaceous Cliff. I met them and did the poker run and pitted for them and the 3 with them (on ktm's) 1 B.W. finished and even beat a lot of other bikes to the pits..he has to be soooo sore today.
I have to wonder if that is the first Big-Wheel to complete the 100. ?

Cant say for sure but the guy lined up next to me crashed right after the start. In the same area. He left the line on the pipe and tore out of there like he wanted the hole shot. I got held up and had a slow start, when I went by him the bike was about 20' feet from him and there was a pile of rocks that I think he smacked. Not sure if he got up, he was on all four when I went passed. I know its a race but damn you gotta finish too.

Great photos Allan. I'm glad you were out there to get some of the action so the rest of us can see the fun.

Had a great time riding some of the dual sport on Sat, but first time out since breaking my arm, so I got tired quick. It's getting very rough out there! Saw the Roaches bike and HFMs Christini, but never saw them.

I know where that is. It is not part of the course. I will check it out tomorrow to see if I can see what happened and why.

A week....got 4 trailers to bring home, 50 miles of ribbon to pull. Will try to get on it before then...

Now, if your bored and haven't had your share of dust, feel free to volunteer to pull ribbon, pick up ktm kick starters, yz # plates and exhausts tips and various other parts.

That was right next to my truck. He shook it off and got back on the bike after a few minutes.
