I will be bringing back the SLAP trophy I won last year for getting stuck BAD two years in a row! (If I could figure out how to post a pic I could give y'all a good laugh and a nice story). Time to pass on the honor on to the next poor soul!! Can't wait to get back up there....last year was a blast!

Since your passing the honor and trophy, does this mean yer not riding this year.

Plan to do as much riding as time allows. What a great area. We always have a good time at the SLAP....this will be our third year. Looking forward to it!

The sites are scattered between the bath house and the river mostly in the shade.

Mmm apple pie in a jar

Will do!

Bring some of that homebrew of yours as well.

coffee, ride, beer, coffee, ride, beer, coffee, ride, beer.

I could get used this routine!

Newbie looking for info

As you will be able to tell by the following question.
Is there any kind of schedule for the SLAP? Riders meeting, eating times, etc. I sure don't want to miss any meals.
Will riders that are familiar with the area be posting the routes they will be riding?
Do they allow riders to tag along?
I looked at the page with the routes and have used GPS, but certainly no pro with it. Thanks for any help and look forward to a great weekend since I will be a first timer at a rally.

There will also be several other scheduled events (specific rides and evening activities), but largely it is a come and go as you please type of thing.
Will riders that are familiar with the area be posting the routes they will be riding? Possibly, but often the riding groups will form at SLAP based on who is riding what and where. You'll meet like-minded people, I'm sure.
Do they allow riders to tag along? Generally, yes.
I looked at the page with the routes and have used GPS, but certainly no pro with it. Just make sure you mark a waypoint for the campsite before heading out on any adventure. Know how to route your way back in case of emergencies or if you end up lost/solo.

Thanks for any help and look forward to a great weekend since I will be a first timer at a rally. Glad to have you join us. You will have fun.

Meals

As Dirty Dog stated we will have meal times posted at the event. For meals not included Byrd's makes deli sandwiches and if all goes well they broke ground on a new cafe that should be open by the SLAP event.
Going to be another Epic event.

From all I can plan I'm about 90% in, just have to make sure I can get my leave approved. I know it said there will be activities and such for families but will there street rides that going two-up on would be safe? Might be bringing a friend of mine along and wouldn't want to leaver her at camp the whole time.

Thanks for info, DirtyDog

Looking forward to what I feel sure will be a great time. Have talked to a few friends and they may attend also. Depends on who comes with me as to which scooter I will ride. KLR or GS.

It doesn't look like my PayPal account is working because I registered and paid but I do not see my name on the list. I have been having trouble with it lately. Had some fraudulent charges on it recently and can't seem to get it working again. Funny, I thought you signed up for PayPal to keep from having someone else charge things to your credit card. I am IN and need 120V hookup for a toy hauler. Don't really need an RV spot especially but will take one if it is available. Like Mdawg, I paid last year but couldn't make it at the last minute due to illness. Plan on being there this year tho.
