Sorry about your skid lid Killer, but that will buff right out.
We are getting that plastic welding down too, and we like to keep out skills sharp, so no worry about you fairing M8.
A little welding, some fiberglass and cat fur and paint...EZPZ.

That was an epic ride today. Real close to a 10, except for the high side stunt.
Rained yesterday to keep the dust down.
Logging road were almost total free of traffic.
We got a surprise guest rider from P-town...Hells Al..one of my favorite riding buds....thanks Al, you really added to the ride.
Three KTM 9XX and one KLR made the ride home. Lost one KLR with a DNF, after the high side. We were realigning his forks when a gaggle of Idahodens rode past with e-nuf gear to get them to California and back. Six or so bikes.
A great way to put the cap on 2014 August. Need to sneak a few more rides in B4 you head south to your Baha winter hause-e-end-da Al.

And what about that gas station attendant at the red neck hippy bar gas stop.....oh my God.....made my YEAR.......WOOT! Now that was a 10 in my eyes...

Pictures anyone?

Is someone going to post pics of this alleged ride - whether or not including Killer's high-side? Some of us must live vicariously...

And seriously, Killer - are you OK?

I have a few shots of our "herb gathering" portion of the ride. And yeah, I'm peachy keen. Couple bottles of wine go a long way!good excuse to get an adjustable clutch lever and a chest x-Ray!

Thanx DZ and DS, that was fun! Haven't been on most of that route for years, still great stuff.

Just goes to show some of the best rides in the nation are still just out the back door here in Ory-gone-riding!

All you have to do is go there...

Dammit! I missed inside jokes?! I'll take you guys up on that plastic welding! As far as the lid goes...I know the whole always retire it after a crash....but....I really took the brunt of it straight to the chin guard...whatta ya'll think...?

Now, the real question, is when are we gonna do this ride again so I can finish it?

What do we think?

Well, Zoob has first dibs already on that skid lid if you want to retire it.

I am second.

Bring your bike in tomorrow so we can see the fairing damage.

We can fix it in the rainy down time coming up if you want to wait, but we might drill some holes at the end of the cracks to keep them traveling further. I can bring my portable drill.

You want more ? Good on ya M8 ! Hum...are you a quick learn ? Those green roads are a little dicey!

M8....? Did I get a new nickname too!? Why do I feel like I don't want to know the origin? Already got holes in her, and it isn't that bad altogether. And my current plan was zip ties so waiting till rainy season sounds like it may take the cake!

Nix the zip ties. Safety wire takes a smaller hole than zip tyes. I will bring safety wire and my safety wire pliers.
You can refer to your bike as Franky, as in Frankenstein.

I guess I've been hanging out on a euro KTM Superduke site to long.
M8 is short for mate.

Oh..if you did not catch the DNF, that's race talk for Did Not Finish.

Wow

looks like I missed a wild ride Sunday.

I'm in Moab tonight. Spent a few nights in Colorado. Thanks BucketBoy for dinner and a place to crash.

I ran into Whiskee Throttle in Westcliff Colorado. He and a buddy are doing the TAT trail. I invited them to join us next Tuesday at flat tail. They have a crazy story and one trip to ER so far.

They are looking to buy a cheap pickup in Oregon to haul there WR250's back home. Please keep an eye out for one.

Not a wild ride, just green coastal paved logging roads, with little traffic use and rain the day B4. The roads are really green to color.

So...about the truck. Where is home so we know how good of a truck is needed and how much you want to spend.

Oregon is one of the best states to buy a rig.

No salt used on the roads here.

You just might make some money to boot on the resale.

I've seen 250k on those without major mechanical. I'm a Toyota person myself, but those little 302's run forever.
