yep. It was right after he saved the day from a very emotional game to go to the superbowl.

I was rooting for the niners but I could see how someone could react the way he did. I watched the interviews after that one and he seemed his normal calm self. But of course the news will only zero in on that 10 second clip.

Erin Andrews was out of her depth, which, given her experience, surprises me. I guess she's used to more deferential college players.

It has been long running now, and Sherman owns Crabtree. Crabtree started yaking, and Sherman did not let it go....in what should have been offset penalties...they knicked Sherman. I am sure he was more vocal and that got the officials attention, but Crabtree did grab his face mask. I don't blame him for being fired up. They hated primetime too, and he just kicked their butts at every turn. Just like this kid does.

The players on NFL teams played for a college team before going pro - no body ever said they actually went to class.

I thought Sherman has issues with Harbough when he was at Stanford and he has a particular issue with the 49ers as a result?

Harbough was telling scouts to skip in Sherman or something like that that he felt damaged his NFL career?

Or am I confused again?

Erin Andrews is to blame. She looked like a prissy little princess when Sherman went off. She has enough experience interviewing players to know better than that. If she'd smiled, laughed and gone along with it, it would have been fine. Instead she stuck a sour lemon in her mouth and FOX freaked and cut away.

You need emotional, high-motor guys to play in the NFL. Stick a mike in a guy's face after he makes a huge play and you never know what you'll get. 15 minutes later, he was calm and collective.

Sherman thinks his former college coach, Harbaugh, bad-mouthed him before the draft. He can't think of any other reason why he fell so far. Who knows if he's right? Great players play better when they have a chip on their shoulder, so they find it useful to have one. If they can't find a real one, they make one up. I think Aaron Rodgers does it too.

I think she just didn't want to get spit spray in her face.

Subtitles would have been appropriate during that rant. I had to read it online to figure out what he said.

Lets blame the interviewer for the jack ass football player's boil over?
He WAS completely different just minutes later. An adult may have had a word with him.

True warriors?

They are grown men who play a game for lots of money.

But, I've got to agree that the reaction is "ridiculously overblown".

Many others, particularly Ray Lewis have been far worse.

These guys are tremendous athletes, but still just guys, and guys do stupid stuff all the time.

Why people continue to expect better behavior from elite athletes, after being disappointed over and over again is beyond me.

Let it go.
In 3 years most of us won't even remember who played in this superbowl.

It's not really important.

Oh, and I like Peyton, he seems pretty chill. Go Broncos.
