After last year's Redskins playoff game I took a serious dislike to Sherman. I hate showboats and braggarts. But since then I've learned a lot more about him. Now I like the guy, I still dislike the showboating, but at least the guy has more substance than the vain Deion Sanders.

He still reminds me of Thulsa Doom.

Many people will tell others what they're going to do in a particular event, goal or game. It's how people motivate themselves.

Primetime no substance? You better get on your personal library, Google/Wikipedia (fat guy in underwear emailing Teo). Not only was he a shutdown corner...first time HOF ballot winner, his off the field contributions are significant. May not like his style, but there is more to the man than the bluster.

Plus one. He backed it up.

Edit: nice article that starts off with "There really is no debating Deion Sanders' Pro Football Hall of Fame credentials" ....unless your name is Sid.

More:

In a 14-year career with Atlanta, San Francisco, Dallas, Washington and Baltimore, Sanders intercepted 53 passes. He scored touchdowns on punt returns, kickoff returns, interception returns and even had a fumble return for a score. He caught three touchdown passes as a wide receiver.

He was named an All-Pro nine times at cornerback. Eight times he was named to the Pro Bowl. He was named to the 1990s All-Decade Team and was the Defensive Player of the Year in 1994.

His character, you dope, not his game. Isn't it obvious that that's what sets Sherman apart?

That's what you took from my comment? That football is substance? That reading about Sherman changed my mind? You took that to be about football and not life? C'mon, you're a whole lot smarter than that.

And Sanders is a self-aggrandizing putz.

Some players have substance, some have game... a lucky few have both. Google Gregg Carr.... linebacker at Auburn, played four years with Pittsburgh. If you break a leg in BHM and need a good orthopedic surgeon, I'm sure he'd be happy to help you out.

Who the heck is talking about Gregg Carr? What's he have to do with anything?

We're talking about me-me-me motormouth Deion Sanders and how Richard Sherman has more substance. Substance, I apparently need to point out, isn't football. It's life.

Despite his background and Stanford education, Sherman is a tool. He acted like a crazy person Sunday. This is why he has since apologized.

Sherman has said he plans on being a commentator when he retires from the game. Clearly, he's better suited for the WWE.

Have you ever heard him in an extended interview? Not will he be one, he will be a good one.
