We need to make a decision on the event by Feb 21. Unfortunately, if we don't get more riders that are interested we will need to canx the event.
Would it help if I sign up twice?

I can get enough $ together to cover the entry fee, but getting another $200 for bike rental might be a stretch. Is this worth doing on my dirtbike?

I wouldn't recommend attending the training on a dirt bike. Some of the lessons are hard enough on a trials bike let alone a regular dirt bike.

I was afraid of that, and I would like to try a trials bike. I have never actually seen one, except in pictures.

Nuggets, The CVOTC President and former President live in your area. Hit me up with a pm and I'll get you their names and contact info. Either of them would be happy to let you see, and probably ride their bikes a bit for beer.

Trials training 12-13 April

I'll sign up. I have that weekend free. Still am trying to convince a couple of other beginning riders to attend. None of us have ever done this, but I've been wanting to do it for a long time. I'll need a rental too. Probably will camp.

Nuggets posted this to the Richmond Chatter, so thanks to him.

Sounds good. Still need a few riders to get enough to lock it in.

The more the merrier. Last event I was one of the least experienced riders and learned a lot while having a blast.

So would this be appropriate for a complete trials n00b?

Sent from the voices in my head and transcribed by their drinking buddy...

Yes, Ryan does an excellent job teaching all levels.

Yes. I have heard of other riders attending a RY clinic as their first time on a trials bike. Ryan is very good at adjusting the instruction to different riders abilities. Day 1 starts off at a very basic level and lessons build on each other. The advanced lessons are not until day 2 of the event. If there is a lesson that you are uncomfortable with you can always practice a previous lesson while others are working on advance stuff.
