Shortly afterward, I heard the voice of God. He said, and I quote, "Dumbass."

ok, I finally get me some ADV stickers (had the old style compass one for awhile)

put a small one on the back of my new helmet, ok, that worked great, left both in sun for a 1/2 hour on a warm day, and it stretched on nice and smooth with no wrinkles or bubbles at all.

tried to put one of the bigguns on the wind deflector of my R1100RS, and that did NOT go on so great. got wrinkles AND bubbles. how the hell do you get those big thick things to go onto a mild compound curve without wrinkling? oh yeah, and how do you get them off so I can try again (I bought several of each)

Getting them off without ruining them is very difficult. You basically eat the $5 and try again.

oh, I know i'm gonna ruin it. got 3 more

what I wanna know is, whats the best way of getting it off plastic without leaving goo behind or totally trashing the plastic surface. I'll probably try a heat gun and a scraper.... my windscreen is a 80K mile dark smoked one thats already pretty trashed, so it doesn't have to come off 'optically' clean, just clean enough to give me a second chance at putting a new one on cleanly.

WD40 and an old credit card as a scraper.. be careful using anything harder than a plastic scraper.. WD40 will dissolve all the remaining glue.
