Question Best duct tape?

I'm too cheap to buy another seat cover for my sled and the old black duct tape gets old and starts to break down. So I need some more.

How about this stuff?

Duct tape will always break down when it gets wet. It does not mix well with water.

Cool2

Gorilla Tape
WINNER
"For the toughest jobs on planet Earth." $9 for 12 yd

+ Sturdiness: The test's champ: It took 85 pounds to break the Gorilla's back. Yet it still tore easily by hand, making for easy application.
+ Stickiness: The ape held its wires in place for a week--then showed off by pinning a 3-pound dumbbell to the wall over the weekend.
+ Water Resistance: Overall stickiness was not compromised by a week in the drink.

Bottom Line
Although duct tape proved capable, the clear winner was Gorilla Tape, which handily won all our tests.

Gorilla tape it is!

Hi all ! Why not just find someone with a seatcover they replaced or find a piece of vinyl and staple it on ?

3M 6969. Good s...t had some on my little XR seat for years. But I finally recovered it with the stuff I get from my friend, he does a lot of recoverings on snowmobile seats.

Good s...t the 6969, my former BIL used it everywhere. But then he looks and acts just like Red/Green.

I used Gorilla duc tape on the bottom of my older raft. It made three river trips & was still on when I sold the boat. Prep the surface first, like you would before painting.
Good stuff.

we looked into this a few years back. Bought a bunch of rolls of tape. In the end, gorilla tape was the overall best "duct tape" for holding stuff together. Some of the lesser 100MPH tape really was 100MPH tape and came apart above that speed. Don't know what Gorilla tape is good for, never found a speed that it came loose.
