A note on this 15" wheel thing. Years ago a guy used to come to rallys and turn down 15" cycle wheels at the event. He had a home made device that the bike wen ton. Th ecycle tire go removed from the rear wheel..wheel reinstalled and then the bike was actually turned into a lathe of sorts right on the spot. The bike ran in gear and spun the rear wheel and he went to work on it. When done the 15 car tire was mounted and away ya went. For some reason he quit coming around.....we can only speculate what may have happened. Not condoning this deal at all just thought it was interesting to bring up.
If anyone does decide to turn down a 15" cycle wheel there needs tobe plenty of meat there to keep it structurally sound. How much is enough? Not going there. Also the turned down section should be almost polished smooth with no ridges or lines ot create stress risers which can cause bad things to happen.
One other point....using a car wheel with adaptor is advantageous in that you can get the tire mounted anywhere. When mounting a car tire on any motorcycle rim, many many places will refuse to do it due to liability concerns.
Not an issue with a car wheel and car tire of course.
Note that we can use " centerline wheels in lieu of the wheels we typically use if someone wants that. They are, however, more costly.

Everything happens for a reason, but sometimes the reason is you're stupid and make bad decisions.
