Funny, I had recently posted a pic in another forum my dad took of his buddy taking the keys to his new CB450 in 1966.
That would have been quite the machine to have at that time I'm sure!

I was pissed when they came out, upstaged my 305 Superhawk.

But they got their's when the 750's came out.

The owner of a long time Honda dealer told me that when the 450 first came out, that Honda didn't have them tuned well, and that the 305's could out run them. Many people who had traded their Superhawk in on a CB450 came back wanted their Superhawk back.

Of course, today, I'd love to have one of each, in black, and my black CB160 restoration complete, and a black S90 to park along with the other 3!

One of the best looking bikes ever made. It's too bad they never sold well.

Yep, carb problems and a weirdly gapped gearbox. The later engines drop in with very little work and are a better bet if it's going to be used as a rider. One of my favourite old Hondas.

Cl450 k1

I really love the look of the CL450 K1. It is, I think the best looking CL450. The candy blue that was available this year is also stunning (I'm partial, as my CL175 K0 is the same color).

I like this shot of my Bomber. It looks mean and evil from this angle.
