For sale locally on CL

1965 Honda S65 - $400 (Woodland Heights)

craigslist - Map data OpenStreetMap

W. 26th St. at Semmes Ave
(google map) (yahoo map)

I have this motorcycle for sale. Here is the run down.

I bought it in 2009. I don't have a title for it. I bought it because i was told that it was a super simple motorcycle and I wanted to work on it. After not working on it for 5 years I took it to a mechanic who told me that I would need about $700 in parts (way more in labor) to get it fixed. So I'm not fixing it anymore.

It is a complete bike but it needs a lot of work. Its also somewhat parted out (seat, gas tank, carb are off) but I guarantee that everything that you see in this picture is included with the bike. Thanks.

As well as this nice original '65 C102. Basically the same as the C100 only with electric start and battery ignition instead of magneto
I just missed out on a 62 c100 exactly like yours in mint cond. for $200. The local cl ad was up for 15 min. and the guy said he had 8 calls. sold 1 hour later. Damn it

Not surprised it went quick! Sometimes people still put them up on craigslist way underpriced, then the race is on!
My '62 is still a back burner project, probably a year out.
Currently working on a '68 CL175 that was a little rough and not original color.
Here's a before pic of it in the condition I got it.

And after complete tear down, and new paint (going with the original Candy Orange)

here's what it looks like as of yesterday after hangin' the engine back on.

Here's a couple of pics after assembly. I still need to put on the skid plate
and fuel lines.

Nice Candy blue K0 model jas67. That would have been sold in '69 as it has the fender reflector and '69 taillight. (retancgular taillight as opposed to the rounded corners of the '68 light.) I also have a K3 '69 model in Candy blue, which looks good with the white tank stripes.

Hmmmm. I thought all sloper CL175's were 1968, and that the 1969's were the first-year vertical motor bikes with the high fender.

My bike is titled as a 1969. I assumed it was just due to the policy of the day, which was to title the year the bike was sold, not the "model year." I guess I'll cancel my plans to replace the tail light with the rounded corner one that I thought was correct for it.

I had been assuming that the tail light was wrong. That also explains the fact that some of these have the front reflector, and some don't. I have a 2nd blue one, with rectangular tail light and the front refector, and an orange one with the rounded corners light and no front relector. These two other bikes are in rough condition, and are future projects.
