Poor Ben Young seems to have missed a waypoint and dropped down the order.. At the Tuareg you have to make sure you make the waypoints and get 'm signed off.. Else penalties apply.. In this rallye, one stripe and you're out of contention.

I saw a gentleman in the scrutineering video prepping what looked like an older Xr650/600. Do you have any more pictures of him and or info on how he is doing?

I have been following this rallye with great interest as my little brother is a participant in the moto profi class, and he is doing pretty good (on the days when he finds most of the waypoints .
A question for the more experienced, the Smit father and son are doing really well, however I notice in many photo's they seem to be running together as a team, does this not give them an advantage over their other competitors ?

It could give them an advantage, many riders seem to team up over the course of an event. Starting in the same minute means they will always run close to eachother though.

About father and son Smit, both are very eager to beat eachother, like any father and son combo, so this race isnt run!!

Based on the video's there seems to be a few riders with less than stellar off road skills...

Make all the waypoints and you get a badge, that's the Tuareg 'head'.

Do it for multiple events and you get a different colour version.
