Awesome, travel safe! I have a son near OK city if you need something there.

I'll agree with Brad, I can only imagine how cocky you were at that age ;)

What is your point here....

Thanks for the posts guys. This is a trip I am really looking forward to. This is about the only bike I can think of that makes me think it was one of the best I have had. Now after riding it most of the way across the USA I will find out if my 22 year old memory is good or just a fantasy I have built up over the years.

And the rest of us hope to somehow stuff you back into that shell! Not having much luck so far...

Kudos to Lonnie for keeping that bike so nice all these years.
She's a beauty!

Very cool set-up in that first post. This is an awesome story. We'll be riding along with you brother. Bring that bike home safely and have some good adventures along the way. Post pics.

I have a great route through Taos, Shiprock, Canyon de Chelly, Monument Valley, Capitol Reef, Staircase Escalante, Bryce, Page, Flagg and into Phoenix. It would be better aboard your KTM 950 and maybe April is too cold yet. NM and Utah are pretty high. Maybe need more than 5 days too. Probably 7 or 8.

I have a more southerly route through Bisbee, but not nearly as interesting. The Four Corners, Southern Utah route is one of the more memorable for me. Let me know if you want either route.

Cheers

Thanks for the trip ideas guys, I am going to be trying to fit in as much as I can.

Here is a little taste of what an old fashion ride report looked like when you put your pictures in a photo album and wrote a few notes to remind you what it was.

This is a trip I took my girl friend on to Tasmania

On the ferry which travels over night from the Port in Melbourne to Hobart in Tasmania

what a beauty!

Now we can really go on road trips!

I was going to suggest you go straight into Colorado but in early April you'll probably freeze your ass off. I think patmo's suggestion is probably your best bet. I wish I had some time to take this trip with you.

Enjoy the bike!

There's a slightly used one somewhere between Quemado and Grants. You're welcome to it.

I am thinking about doing Nashville and Memphis. Anyone got some cool things in those areas for me to see?
