Thanks for the ticket to the gp. I ended up having to borrow a bike to ride and get a battery from Walmart. The one in mine was drawing all the life out of the bike and causing it to cut out so I couldn't ride it there. Was on the road by 6.30pm

Well Crap, that sucked. We hung out at the amphitheater for the concert and consumed a few more beers, tito's vodka, and sausages-a good afternoon winding down from motogp at the track. Really good to see u at the track!

Did you hit a storm that night or ride a storm out in the tent. our flight was delayed 1 1/2 hr monday morn. due to a kick ass storm.

Day one.

Well I had a good flight out to Columbus and Lonnie picked me up as planned. My flight was on time and landed at 4.45pm. I had shipped all my gear out to Lonnie's place so I had everything in a backpack and sack with me so I didn't have to wait for luggage and we were quickly out of the Airport.

Lonnie doesn't live to far from the Airport so I was excited to see the bike in person and was not dissapointed.

I hit the road by 6.10 and headed out toward Deals Gap which was going to be about 8 hours riding time to get to. I stopped at a Walmart and picked up a cheap tent as I decided I would camp my way home instead of hoteling it as I figured my sleeping time would be less then 5 or 6 hours each night if I was lucky.

I ended up riding until about 1am and then stopped at Levi Jackson State Park and grabbing about 4 hours sleep. This sate park is amazing and one I would like to visit one day and spend some time staying there and exploring it and the surrounding area.

Day 2

I woke up early in the dark to make sure I would have enough time to meet the guys. The state park I was in was such a nice place. I wish it would have been light enought o take a picture as there is nothing better than waking up somewhere you haven't seen but in the pitch dark.

I hit the road toward the Deals Gap and the Tail of the Dragon and the weather couldn't have been nicer. I stopped to setup the Go-Pro on the bike and then road along a super senic lake for miles that the road follows. Here is my video I took riding into the Dragon and to the end of it at the state line.

I was definately on a lucky streak on this ride as I got to run through this entire section without a single car in my way and passed only one scooter on the Dragon. I didn't run to crazy as I didn't want to post up a squid video of how to crash while riding the Dragon or add any parts to the tree of shame. Enjoy

I met Pat and Joe at the store at the Dragon and got a few shots

I thought this was funny. Not sure this guy was happy I took the pic.

This pic was while I was stopped at a road work area. Nice place to wait.

Love the Tree

Great video. Glad you didn't have to leave a momento on the tree of shame.

What is it about Ohio and these Honda liter bikes?

Had a 94 1000F that I did a fly-n-ride to Cleveland to buy a while back. Original owner had bought it new and ended up becoming a long-term guest of the state of Ohio so it had been in storage for several years. Still had the original tires on it when I picked it up in 2008 !

Great bike. Congrats on your find and looking forward to the rest of the RR!

Oh man, You passed me going down I-71 in cinci last weekend. I also saw you at a gas station in Kentucky with a McDonalds. I checked out the bike but didn't want to bother you while you were eating. I was driving the rotted out ford focus towing a trailer with a grom on it.

Nice video - so cool to get a long stretch like that with no traffic! Looking forward to the next one.

It was a pleasure to meet you and ride with you and I hope we get to do it again sometime somewhere.
