Day Two continued

We left the Dragon and Joe led the way for us on a nice sweeping road with great views. I followed and took a little video of Joe tossing around the big BMW

Video update

I updated the clip above to show the road from when we first left the Dragon store. This area is so cool and amazingly senic. Some good shots of Joe leaning over the Beemer.

Pat on the Cherohala Skyway

Here is out trip up to the top of the Skyway. I wish I would have filmed the down side as it was much more senic and the road was a little more twisty and fun but I was out of storage on the GoPro

After our ride to Nashville Pat took me down to Music row and we walked around and checked out the bars and music seen. What a great place. Have to put this down as a place to visit and spend some real time enjoying the town.

Pat took me to an Irish Pub in his local area and the Fish and CHips were great.

Across the road is an old theatre that was renovated and now host some great events as well as showing movies.

And some random shots of Music Row

And here is a Pedal Bar that I first saw on the TV show Shark Tank

I like the pedal tavern but, Why would you want to burn off all that alcohol? Oh, I get it. What a way to sell more booze! Pure genius!

Day 3

My plan was to try and get as close to Austin as I could so I wouldn't have to much riding to do tomorrow and get in as much of the GP as I could. I had one goal for the day and that was to stop and see Graceland in Memphis. I hit the road about 7.30 ish and had a great run to Memphis and was at Graceland before I thought I would be. I decided seeing I was there and I have no idea if I would ever get back I would take my time and see as much as I could. I ended up spending about two and a half hours there and it was pretty cool. Here is a ton of pictures that I took. Feel free to ask about any that you might have a question on.

Very cool Drew! Congratulations!!

One question, shouldn't you be playing golf or something??

One more question, you know we are good buddies, right? Well then, I am gonna need to take your new Honda out for a test ride just to make sure it's safe for you to ride.

Thanks for taking us along, Mongo-E.

Airplanes

They have two planes that Elvis owned there. The first one is huge and the second is a smaller jet.

The bathrooms and the seat belts are all gold plated.

Looks like you had a great trip to Graceland with a side trip to pick up a bike!

Your more than welcome to ride it mate. Might be a little faster than the bikes you normally ride.

I spent about two and a half hours from arrival to departure at Graceland. Not much else to do but take pictures. They don't want you to touch anything or play with the vehicles. Trust me.. I tried.

next up is a few pics of the Moto GP

Onward

I hit the road from Memphis with the idea of getting somewhere close to the GP in Austin so I could spend as much time there as I could Sunday. I made great time and was able to hit Waco by 11pm so I thought I would grab a bite to eat at Hooters and charge some electronics up. I got loaded up about 11.40 and hit the start button to nothing but a dead click sound. Not the most opportune time to have the battery give out but I was lucky one of the waitress's had some cables and gave me a jump.

I hit the road but needed to make a fuel stop before I got to the track so I made sure the gas station had jumper cables before I shut off the bike. The first one was a no go but the second one let be buy some and then return them after I used them and I was off to the track thinking I would be able to find a vendor there to buy a battery.

I got in to the tent about 2am and woke up to the sound of bikes.

I walked to the main gates and the plan was to meet Montek and his mates who had an extra ticket they offered me. I was a little early and was lucky enough to talk my way into the track to see if I could find a battery before they got there. No such luck so I would have to get the battery elsewhere after the races.

First view I got of the track

I saw a few nice sights around the track

and these girls just wouldn't let me go by with out getting a picture or two with me.

I love the look the one girl is giving you! Was your hand a little too close for her comfort?
