Sounds a lot of fun. I cannot wait for this trip...

Which port did you go first? I guess you get on the ferry from Bellingham, WA. Did you take the AK state ferries (http://www.dot.state.ak.us/amhs/routes.shtml) ?

Oh man, I am finally watching the videos. I do not think my Honda Interstate will be high enough for some of the roads.

Ercenk, you will make it with your Honda, if not I can pull you out with the R100GS/PD.

I would definitely take the Cassiar, it is a beautiful ride. The Alcan back from fort Nelson to Dawson Creek is boring and had a not fun crosswind when I rode it last. There are some good areas to explore in the yukon/north B.C. area and a trip back down the Cassiar or a boat ride home is more enjoyable in my opinion the getting blasted into the other lane in the plains A week is enough time to get a good taste. I was on my '88 GS
Cheers

Hyder AK & Telegraph Creek great rides

My advice - don't try to ride too fast to get up there. Too many riders miss the enjoyment of the roads, the sights, and the ride in favor of speed.

Salmon glacier and the Bear watch Center at Hyder Alaska are a must.

Also the Sign Post Forest and the Northern Lights Center at Watson Lake are fun stops. Google Steward Cassiar maps for info. But here are a few of my pics at on the Cassier;
