They didn't ride it , it is fresh out of the box, the drool marks on it were mine.
And OK I guess I am due a rant, I don't know why US Honda choose them, my understanding is the dealer had to get their order in by a certain time and they time stamped them. I am probably the one that got him thinking about it because I am excited that Honda is thinking about trials, as I am a Honda guy at heart (and I know I am a trials noob, but I do love it), and if I had 9k, . As far as the rest of it goes, Terry has always dealt fairly with me and I am happy to call him a friend. I certainly do not want to be involved in a cross dealership war, but I am loyal to my friends, new ones and ones I've had a while too. rant off.
Oh and ps rio Rancho is a pretty good place to live and only 30 minutes from San Yo.
PPS I don't know how much power an XL 125 had so I wouldn't be able to make that comparison

A good friend will take you trail riding, an ADV friend will double back and say, "how did you get down there?"

Most Montesa products came de-tuned. With out knowing that it had the proper set up this bike would be almost worthless to most, but just needs a little help.

As for right now, lots of speculation and not a lot of fresh poop to pick through
No big deal, mine is a 2007, the suspension was ok but did feel slow and made the bike seem heavy tell the modification by motobene. I myself think the big changes might have been in the engin as the clutch and other engin related carictoristics never seemed as drastic as others complained about but not sure.

If your out to sell trials bikes then you want a dealer who will get them out the door where they can be seen and used. If you want to showcase the Honda line and there world Champion look alike bike then keep on a floor with no actual trials knowledge so it can just look pretty Without knowledge they can say that is the same bike that Bou rides himself and they can still sleep at night(ignorance is bliss). I am afraid Honda is only showcasing the world championship they have purchased but i hope i am wrong time will tell.

Dealer I know has one. (its sold) He said its way better than the 05 he had. Motor is alot more powerful, clutch is sweet - light, but good feel. Suspension real nice, although forks top out bad. Power is very abrupt off the bottom with the std map. He likes it that way. He said that it makes a surprising amount of power for a 260. BTW - they all came with the full power kit as std. He had a few minor issues with the brakes, but all set now.

Sounds like I need to bring parts and brake tools as those things seem to suck straight out of the box. Nothing like a fine tuned engine with crap for brakes.
