Big Ruckus?
So... Big Ruckus for a Big Tug? What do you think?
![]() I've always been a two-bike-bloke. Previously I had a Honda Helix and had a blast with the thing. With only one bike in the shed right now I'm itchin' for a partner for it, and the Big Ruckus amuses me greatly. Due to my size, 250cc is a minimum requirement for me, of course. I kind of like the whole exposed-frame mad-maxian look of the thing. I just wish someone would make something like the BR but with more ground clearance, huge balloony knobble-tires and even meaner/uglier lookin'. How much do you suppose one of those things can carry? Tugrik screwed with this post 09-23-2005 at 04:54 PM Reason: (better title) |

I hear they are rated for one Metric 'Mostro, so you should be fine.

Big Ruckus.
Do it. I think it's the ADV rider's scoot. Lots of exposed frame so you can hang the entire Touratech catalog on it. And you can give your joints a bit of a rest. On days when my hips are killing me, the scoot's easier for me to run around on. Get a cool one, like the BR, and there's no need for excuses. They do a fantastic job of getting someone around in fine fashion.I figure folks will buy 'em, ride them to the Dairy Queen once or twice, then Ebay 'em. That's when we're gonna swoop one up--used, probably under 1200 miles on 'em. It was nice to be out and about on the Stella today being a hooligan and not really worrying about gas prices.

Yeah, I think the exposed frame is what makes my day. It looks like something out of a Hard Hat Harry video game. I'd put construction-yellow chevrons all over the bodywork with lots of warning stickers.

Tug,
Go for it. I'm on the verge as well. And yes, I've already been shopping the Touratech catalog to see what *BLING* I can add. The only question for you is: Yellow 2005 or Silver 2006...
