Wink I Fell Yesterday

I fell yesterday while riding through a sub-division area where the road passed under the surface of a shallow stream. When I got to the stream it was only 6 inches deep and as I crossed it I discovered the concrete was covered with a light brown moss. Sadly for me a really strong gust of wind hit me and it caused my R1200GS to slip out from under me and fall down because the moss was slipperier than ice. Due to the moss I was able to easily slide the bike around to position it to pick it up and get going. One other nice thing occurred. It was that a young guy in a car came up behind me and got out and helped me pick the bike up. Once we got it up I was able to put it on the side stand and straighten the mirror from it being pushed around and I was happy to see there was no damage to the bike. One other nice thing is I have valve cover protectors on the bike that kept it from being damaged.

Our local boat ramps get that stuff. . . You can't even stand on it. If a rear wheel drive vehicle gets its wheels on it then it is going in the lake

Fuck yeah! Even them Dakar boys go down once in a while. It's real fun to watch.

TBH it looks like they could be a bit faster through the turn, thank god they didn't. Do they communicate these type of obstacles??

In a couple of those clips it looks like the spectators try to wave the riders down, maybe to warn them? Or maybe they want them to speed up for better crashes.
